European Pilot & Development (ACTiON Programme)

Autonomy has been included in a submitted European project proposal focused on cross-border civic participation.

The ACTiON proposal, Active Citizens Transforming Our Networks, sets out a plan to test and develop Autonomy through collaboration between communities, organisations, researchers and public services.

The proposal has been submitted through the EU Funding & Tenders Portal under the European Union’s CERV programme. It has not yet been approved or funded.

What this could mean

If successful, the project would test how Autonomy can work across different regions, languages and governance structures while retaining a local-first approach.

Scope of the proposal

The proposed partnership includes organisations from the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Belgium, Spain and Greece. Planned work includes pilots in multiple locations, cross-border collaboration and evaluation of a scalable model for structured community participation.

Why it matters

The proposal provides a possible route for testing which parts of the Autonomy model transfer successfully between places and which must adapt to local communities and institutions.
