A clearer way to understand what people in your area are sharing, discussing, organising and supporting.
Autonomy gives councillors, MPs, union representatives, community leaders and other representatives a structured view of activity in the communities they serve. This includes everyday local conversations and initiatives as well as issues requiring attention.
What you can see
Follow local news, plans, opinions, questions and issues as people add information, challenge claims, prioritise contributions and support possible ways forward. Location and tags help keep the activity relevant to a particular place or community.
How it supports representation
Autonomy can sit alongside surgeries, casework, meetings, consultations and existing engagement channels. It provides another source of structured community evidence and sentiment without replacing direct engagement, professional judgement or a representative’s responsibilities.
Participation remains independent
Representatives can observe relevant activity and contribute useful information, but they do not control community voting, prioritisation or legitimate disagreement.
For representative organisations
Unions, resident associations, faith groups, campaign organisations and other defined communities may also use the platform to bring information together and understand what their members support.
Autonomy Insights
A separate read-only analytical service is at prototype stage. It is intended to provide authorised organisations with deeper views of patterns, locations and priorities, subject to funding and further development.
